Andreas Polidis was born in Greece in 1971 and has over 30 years of experience in the IT&T sector. Throughout his career, he has successfully contributed to numerous complex IT projects, covering the full lifecycle from analysis and design to implementation and project management.
He began his professional path as an Electronics Engineer and continued his studies in Computer Information Systems and Media Communications, combining technical expertise with business and communication. As an enthusiastic IT professional, he constantly follows emerging technological trends and innovative solutions, strengthening both his technical knowledge and business strategic perspective.
Mr. Polidis has held senior engineering and IT management roles both in local and multinational organizations. For more than 25 years, he worked as a senior IT&T consultant, supporting private and public sector organizations in the delivery of large-scale, mission-critical IT projects, aiming in improving productivity and achieving sustainable competitive advantage.
For the past 14 years, he is working with IONIC as an IT Advisor, contributing to the development and execution of the company’s IT strategy and digital transformation initiatives. With a strong focus on the shipping industry, he designed and implemented a robust onboard IT infrastructure (V-BOX), to support demanding operational requirements while ensuring compliance with evolving cybersecurity regulations. V-BOX enhanced security and performance of IONIC’s fleet, while giving her a strong business completive advantage, in the highly competitive and demanding shipping industry.
