Michalis Somos-Almi Tankers S.A.
Head of Environmental and Business Performance Department, Almi Tankers S.A. Michalis is a maritime professional with over 12 years of experience in tanker operations and vessel performance, now leading decarbonisation, ESG and emissions reporting at Almi Tankers S.A. He holds an MSc in Maritime Studies from the University of Piraeus, a BSc in Accounting & Finance from the Athens University of Economics and Business, and is a Full Member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers. In December 2025, he completed the Lloyd's Maritime Academy Diploma in Decarbonisation in Shipping with Distinction, and in May 2026 he was certified as a Sustainability ESG Practitioner by the Center for Sustainability and Excellence (CSE), approved by CMI and CPD.
